A walk up Lion's Head Rock
Lion's Head Rock is a striking hill quite close to the centre of Cape Town.
Beginning at 4pm on a hot February afternoon, a walk up the hill brough the
following results, beginning with a delicious looking Pomegranate, growing as
part of someone's garden hedge! The walk also encountered guinea
fowl, eucalyptus, lichen and striking flowers.

A walk up Table
Mountain
We walked up from the
Kirstenbosch National
Botanical Gardens on a damp morning with visibility hampered by the mist.
Red Hot Pokers, Guinea Fowl and Wild Almond trees marked the start of the walk.
The presence of the mist dramatically impacts the ecology of the mountain.
The magnificent King Proteas were seen on the descent.
